Want to check what’s going on at the Stay in Shape studio?  We’d welcome you as our guest, for a free exercise class or a private fitness evaluation. You’ll jump into a friendly, comfortable positive environment.  You’ll enjoy meeting the other “students” in your class. They are interesting, convivial and supportive.

Our class members are a variety of ages, but the people in your class will share the same goals you have.  Taking a free class is a great way to get a feel for our Muscle Memory Method which we use to teach fitness.  This means that when you do an exercise you’ll know which muscle you’re using, where it is, and how to use it throughout the day.  It takes about 3 weeks to practice and then you look and feel so much better.

But words on a page, don’t affect you in the same way as actually coming and participating in a class.  You’ll see how all this “serious” information translates into an invigorating, fun hour. 

Some of our students have told me they used to hate exercises, but now in our affable and low-pressure studio, they feel differently. 

They look forward to seeing their new friends, getting down onto their exercise mats and joining in the stretching and strengthening exercises we do.

Some people prefer working out within a small group.  But if you prefer one-on-one training, we invite you to call for a free private fitness evaluation. 
And if you have a few friends who’d like to see our studio, come together and we can give you your own class.  We start up new classes when we have 5 students. Our classes are single-sex.  Most of our classes are filled with five to seven women.  We start a new Men’s class with three to five men.

You can rotate your classes with an e-mail or call.  We know you lead busy lives and want to make it as easy as possible for you to stay with an exercise program. 

  • We are conveniently located on W. 55th between 6th and 7th, surround by many train and bus stops. 

  • You can take a lunch time class and get back to your desk in time. 

  • Lots of shopping around here too, so your visit to midtown can accomplish many things.

We keep our classes small so each person in the class gets the attention they need in order to do the exercises correctly.  You know, you’ll get your maximum benefits when you know what you’re doing and do it right.  Also, when you understand what you’re doing, you have much more enjoyment.  It’s just like if you go to a museum and know something about the paintings you’re viewing, you’ll enjoy your visit more.  Knowledge is power. Exercise knowledge is powerful fitness and health!

We combine exercise with nutrition, relaxation and health information which all improve your lifestyle habits.  You’ll feel comfortable to privately let us know how we can help you best and we’re always here to help. 

Although we’re serious and focused while doing our exercises, there’s plenty of time before and after the class to meet new friends and find out the best movie playing.
